Here it goes...
1) To live more in the present
2) To make more of an effort to practice yoga at least 3 times a week
3) To relax more in regards to raising Q. Follow and TRUST my instincts
4) Be true to my Sankalpa
5) To be better blogger
6) Build a solid business plan regarding my yoga teaching
I have a habit, like most, to look forward to the future a bit too much. I don't live in the 'now', I live in the 'soon'. I feel like I am missing out on Q's childhood because of this. I don't appreciate it enough, I don't just sit back and observe, relish in this short time we have together. I mean, a year has already gone by. A horribly tough and truly magical year. I need to grasp hold of thiamin time and cherish it starting today.
Training to teach is all about my own personal practice. Life gets in the way, I know that, but I need to make more of an effort in this. I need to take responsibility. It is my practice and I need to own it.
I need to relax. I've always been a very typical type A personality. I believe that I am raising Q in the best way I know how. Yes, I bumble along. What new mamma doesn't? We make mistakes but we learn from them. I need to carry on trusting my instincts. I know what is best for my munchkin.
Be true to my Sankalpa. No more explanation needed.
Part of my blogging is to record Q's life and part isto record mine, my yoga, my knitting, whatever I want. I need an outlet and this is going to be it. Life may get in the way but I am hoping to be a more regular guest on this world wide web. I am going to be joining Che and Fidel in the picture a week challenge. What a great way to document some of Q's life?
I plan, at the end of my training, to start teaching yoga. I would love to make this a full time job. I need to it down and plan out what it is I want and need to do to make this happen. Easy, eh?
I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Year's Eve. I'll be getting wild by eating a nice meal, watching some television, and maybe staying up till 9! :P
You go, Sarah! And because we're the exact same, I bought a camera today to take loads of pictures. Maybe I should join the challenge, too! (Because for me, it would be a challenge ;)
ReplyDeleteDo!! Not sure I linked it up correctly but at least it links to her blog-which I LOVE! She lays it out so beautifully and her words really resonate with me (especially the live simply which I am trying to do very unsuccessfully :D) I should dig out my camera for the sake of better pictures but I will most likely use my mobile because it has a decent camera and it is easier, ie I am lazy :D
